INFORMATIONAL PRE-SEASON ATHLETE / PARENT NIGHT
Wednesday, February 19, 2020
6:00 pm – Auditorium
We will begin our evening in the Auditorium for general sports information and then
breakout into different rooms for the following sports: Girls and Boys Track, Baseball,
Softball, Boys Tennis, Girls Soccer, Boys Golf, Boys and Girls Lacrosse. These sports
will all hold their pre-season parent meeting on this night. This meeting will last 45-60 minutes.
Discussion Topics to be covered by Teams:
Tryouts (how, when, who)
Schedules (practice and game)
Parent Rep, Booster Club and Concession Work
ALL Spring Athletes AND Parents or Guardians need to attend this meeting!
Many programs offer open gyms and camps, so please reach out to the coaches listed
below regarding their program, schedules and to be added to informational e-mail
distribution lists. The listed start date is the first official day of the season, but there are
often open gyms and captain led workout available to interested players PRIOR to the official start….so be sure to check!

SPRING ONLINE REGISTRATION (OPENS 02/17/20)
You can register EASILY online and pay your athletic fees online too.
Online registration for SPRING SPORTS OPENS 02/17 – please visit https://goblackshirts.com/athlete_registration/ in order to register your athlete for spring sports. We will post a reminder on the first day of registration. Athletes must be registered and have all applicable forms, fees, etc. submitted PRIOR to the first practice.
If your athlete needs a physical please schedule that appointment ASAP, if you are not sure if s/he does, please contact the athletic office. (HELPFUL HINT: Many walk in clinics at places like Walgreens and CVS offer very reasonable sports physicals for athletes)

CODE OF CONDUCT REVIEW (Mandatory for new athletes & parents)

MANDATORY CODE OF CONDUCT MEETING IN AUGUST OR DURING A PREVIOUS YEAR WITH YOUR CURRENT ATHLETE? IF NOT, READ
All athletes & parents must attend a code of conduct meeting ONCE during their South HS Athletic career. The in-person meeting was held in August. If you did not attend the meeting, you can do so online by clicking here. Please be sure to sign off on the online form after you watch the video.
