Developing mental skills like confidence, composure, focus, and visualization are major pieces to the puzzle, but they’re not the only ways to improve mental performance. You may have heard about grit from coaches or online, but how do you develop more of it? Come join this 1-hour session and learn specific ways you as a Blackshirt Student-Athlete can improve your athletic performance through developing more grit.
Student-Athlete Workshop: Grit pt. 2 (Tuesday, June 23rd – 3 pm)
We’ll get right back into talking about ways to improve grit during this session. Don’t worry if you didn’t make the first session – you’ll still get something out of joining the discussion.
Student-Athlete Workshop: Confidence vs. Cockiness (Tuesday, June 30th – 3 pm)
Confidence is a mental skill that often gets discussed and practiced in-season but continuing to train your confidence in the off-season is just as important. Learn about different ways to think about and train confidence and learn ways to know if that confidence ends up being something closer to arrogance.
