Cross Town Rivals Compete to Beat PCD!
Message from the North Volleyball Coach (Meghan): During the summer, my wonderful family hosts a golf outing to raise awareness for a condition called PCD, but were unable to hold it this year due to COVID. My cousin Jack was diagnosed with this at age 8 after many surgeries and procedures. PCD is a defect in the Cilia, or the hairs that move fluids through the body such as mucus. Because of this it always sounds like Jack has a cough or runny nose, because he has a hard time expelling the fluids on his own. He is now 16 and a JR on the boys varsity volleyball team at Waukesha West. And if you know Jack, you know what an incredible kid he is! As the coach at one of his rival schools Waukesha North, I have teamed with our other cross town rival Waukesha South to raise money for PCD this year for our charity game. Last year we raised funds for pediatric cancer. This year you will see us wearing blue to represent the fight against PCD as we come together for this great cause! Please take a moment to help us spread the word and please make a donation if you are able. Please use the “tickets” tab and pick a school. Any amount is appreciated!!!
To Donate: Click the “Tickets” button- This is not to buy a ticket for the game, nor do you have to donate to attend the game. This is simply the button that will take you to the donation page. You can then enter whatever amount you are willing to donate under the school that you are supporting.
