Blackshirts News · COVID-19 Update: Classic 8 Spectator Guidelines Change

Effectively immediately, the Classic 8 will allow 4 adult spectators per rostered athlete at HOME events and 2 adult spectators per rostered athlete at AWAY events.

FOR EXAMPLE:

  • IF South Girls Basketball plays AT HOME vs North, each South rostered athlete can have 4 adult spectators in the stands and each rostered North athlete could have 2 adult spectators in the stands.
  • IF South Girls Basketball plays AWAY AT NORTH, each South rostered athlete can have 2 adult spectators in the stands and each North rostered athlete can have 4 adult spectators in the stands.

Other mitigation efforts & policies are still in place: Practice Social Distancing, Follow Directions for foot traffic at the venue, Wear a Mask, Be Seated in Your Designated areas, Wash your hands, Do not approach players/coaches on the court, and Allow for dismissal of players and coaches as directed!

As always, these policies can change at any moment depending changes in CDC, C8, SDW or WIAA Guidelines. Anyone that is not able to follow the guidelines is asked to take advantage of our Live Stream options for home games. Away games also have some options available. (Please check the host school’s website or social media for the most up to date information. If you are aware of changes for the AWAY games list, please contact our website administrator by email. )

These changes have occurred because of the previous cooperation of our fans, coaches and players. Let’s keep it moving in the right direction and keep everyone safe and our athletes playing.
