MILA HERRERA

Class of 2021

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT SPORT?:  Basketball

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING THIS SPORT?: 10 years

WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM YOUR HS TEAM?: My favorite memory was my sophomore year of basketball. I can’t pick a specific memory because the season as a whole was so much fun. Our team chemistry was amazing and we were able to beat some really good teams.

WHO INSPIRES YOU?: My teammates have inspired me to be the best athlete I can be. I love seeing how supportive everyone on the team is and all the smiles after we are able to beat a team by playing together.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE TO YOUNGER STUDENTS?: Make sure to get involved! High school sports have given me some of my closest friends and helped me grow so much as an athlete and a person.

WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO THANK?:I would like to thank my parents for always being supportive of all my different sports. I would also like to thank all of my coaches and specifically my youth basketball coach who was able to also coach us through high school. She has helped me so much with my confidence and has always been there to lift me up and support me.

FUTURE HOPES:  I’m planning on attending Carroll University to major in nursing.

SOMETHING PEOPLE DON’T KNOW ABOUT ME:  I rescued a three-legged dog!

CONGRATULATIONS!
